October 23, Tucson, Arizona, USA – Kaishan Group became one of the main highlights at a grand awards ceremony held by Frost & Sullivan, a globally renowned industry research, market analysis, and strategic consulting company. At the ceremony, Mr. Keith Schumacher, CEO of Kaishan Compressor USA, LLC (KCA), represented Kaishan Group in receiving Frost & Sullivan’s "2024 Global Industrial Compressor Competitive Strategy Leadership Award" on behalf of Chairman Cao Kejian.
Founded in 1961 and headquartered in New York, Frost & Sullivan has a team of over 3,000 industry consultants, market analysts, and economists deeply involved in global capital markets and various industries. They honor companies they consider to have strategic growth potential, innovation, and leadership. Over the past decade, compressor industry giants like Atlas Copco and Ingersoll Rand have also received awards from Frost & Sullivan.
Earlier this year, Mr. David Frigstad, Chairman of Frost & Sullivan, explained the reasons behind Kaishan’s award: Frost & Sullivan’s global team of growth pipeline experts continually identifies and assesses growth opportunities across multiple industries, technologies, and regions worldwide. Through sustained efforts, we identify companies that strategically plan for growth based on forward-looking insights and effectively respond to new challenges and opportunities. This approach involves deploying best practices and strategic analysis across the value chain. In this context, Frost & Sullivan recognized Kaishan's invaluable achievements.
Since 2014, Frost & Sullivan has been following Kaishan's early stages of globalization, continually tracking and studying the company's progress. By 2023, after a rigorous analysis of Kaishan's globalization strategy, Frost & Sullivan decided to present this award based on detailed evaluations of Kaishan’s best practices and strategic analysis across the value chain.
In 2015, Kaishan officially adopted "Contributing to the Conservation of the Earth" as its core mission, implementing this mission in two areas: continuously improving compressor energy efficiency and becoming a new energy company. Nearly a decade of dedicated efforts has led Kaishan to success. Today, Kaishan is recognized as one of the most influential companies in the global geothermal energy development field. Frost & Sullivan has highly acknowledged Kaishan's expanding market share and its drive for continuous improvement in energy efficiency within the compressor market through its innovative capabilities. A particularly notable passage from Frost & Sullivan’s award statement reads:
"Air compression remains a highly energy-intensive and carbon-emitting part of industrial operations, with compressed air accounting for 40% of total energy costs in European plants (equivalent to nearly 10 terawatt-hours of electricity and 4.3 million tons of CO₂ emissions annually)… Therefore, if manufacturers actively invest in designing and producing advanced, energy-efficient, and cost-effective compressed air systems to meet evolving customer demands, they will witness strong growth in the global industrial air compressor market. Frost & Sullivan's research has found that Kaishan Group Co., Ltd. (Kaishan) is a torchbearer in this regard."
The core values of Kaishan's strategy are "People-Oriented, Customer First, Technology Drives the Future." Frost & Sullivan highlighted Kaishan’s commitment to market-driven innovation and its proactive adjustments and expansion of its extensive product portfolio, further strengthening its differentiated competitive edge. They commended Kaishan for having "insight and foresight to develop ever-relevant air compression systems" and emphasized that "Kaishan possesses full intellectual property rights to core technologies, with over 150 patents worldwide." With 303 patents globally, Kaishan not only leads as the Chinese compressor company with the most self-owned intellectual property but also protects its competitive edge through this "moat."
In addition to highly praising Kaishan's technological innovation and R&D investments, Frost & Sullivan assessed Kaishan’s "comprehensive vertical manufacturing capabilities," "commitment to customer satisfaction," "global mergers and acquisitions," "creation of a proactive, fast, and professional service brand image," "quality management," and efforts to "consolidate and protect the Kaishan brand image in most global markets."
As Frost & Sullivan aptly stated, "Innovation and growth opportunities drive future success, but a competitive strategy is critical." Kaishan has implemented a proven competitive strategy, guiding the company to move forward steadily, further solidifying the strategic leadership position awarded by Frost & Sullivan as a growing global air compressor manufacturer. We continue toward our vision of becoming a "world-class integrated compressor manufacturer."
